- Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy to Promote Entrepreneurship across the Different Levels of Education and Training Institutions in Angola. MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND PLANNING INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY BUILDING FOR PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (CONSULTING FIRMS) PROMOTE ENTREPRENEURSHIP ACROSS DIFFERENT LEVELS OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING INSTITUTIONS IN ANGOLA Reference Loan Agreement: 2000130012581 Project No. P-AO-K00-0006 The Government of Angola (GoA) has received a loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) towards the implementation of the Institutional Capacity Building for Private Sector Development Project (ICBPSD) and intends to apply part of this loan to payments under the contract for consultancy to PROMOTE ENTREPRENEURSHIP ACROSS THE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING INSTITUTIONS IN ANGOLA. The services included under this project are: (a) Carrying out a Stakeholder Engagement, through a detailed review of international and national educational entrepreneurship programs, by identifying best practices and potential partnerships to create synergies among complementary programs and avoid duplication of effort among similar programs that promote entrepreneurship, financial literacy skills, and work-readiness; (b) Design a Student-Centered Program, segmented into four phases: 1) EMPRET CHILD; 2) EMPRET YOUTH; 3) EMPRE SCHOOL and 4)EMPRET UNIVERSITY. and (c) Establish partnerships between the private sector and the university students with the objective of having 50 university students, completing the INAPEM Apprenticeship Program successfully. The Ministry of Economy and Planning now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank-s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” dated May 2008 and revised in July 2012, which is available on the Bank-s website at http://www.afdb.org.
