The Government of Angola, through the Climate Resilience and Water Security in Angola (RECLIMA) project (Project ID: P177004), has awarded a major consultancy contract to VisionRI Connexion Services Private Limited, an Indian engineering and development consultancy firm. The assignment focuses on hydrogeological studies in the Cahama and Ompupa formations and Meso-Cenozoic sediments, a critical step in advancing Angola’s long-term water security and climate resilience agenda.
The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) is funding the project.

Concerning the RECLIMA Initiative
The goal of the Climate Resilience and Water Security in Angola (RECLIMA) project is to increase community resilience to the effects of climate change, reduce the danger of drought and flooding, and improve Angola's ability to manage its water resources sustainably. RECLIMA actively supports Angola's National Adaptation Plan and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by enhancing water infrastructure and management systems.
Future water supply projects in the southern areas, especially in the drought-prone provinces of Cunene, Namibe, and Huila, will be scientifically supported by the hydrogeological studies conducted under VisionRI's direction.
