Assignment Description The recent change in the Government of Angola (GoA) has placed the country on a path of reforms in several sectors, including the telecommunications sector. This reflects the GoAs broader commitment to reduce the presence of the state and to increase private participation in the economy. This is particularly pertinent in the telecommunications sector where global experience shows that competition drives sector performance and innovation. As can be observed across the African continent, state-run telecom operators are more likely to be ill-equipped and underfunded making it harder to keep up with needed investments and management of fast-evolving technologies required for the future digital economy. The GoA has requested technical support from the World Bank Group to conduct a Strategic Options Study for the future growth and value creation of Angola Telecom. Based on this request the World Bank Group is hereby looking to hire a consulting firm. Qualification Criteria · 1. Provide information showing that they are qualified in the field of the assignment. * · 2. Provide information on the technical and managerial capabilities of the firm. * · 3. Provide information on their core business and years in business. * · 4. Provide information on the qualifications of key staff. *
